Rudy Lynde Salisbury, age 83 of Marion, passed away on May 7, 2021 at the Whispering Pines Senior Living in Lake City. Rudy was born in Marion, MI to Arlie and Mable (Lynde) Salisbury on April 19, 1938. On October 30, 1957 he married the love of his life Lorraine Wonsey in Marion.
Rudy spent his working career at the Motor Wheel factory and had a mini farm with 35 goats. He was proud that he was a relation to Elvis Presley, and William Boyd also known as Hop along Cassidy. His wife Lorraine and him owned a restaurant called the Salisbury Steak House in Ovid, MI. Rudy loved hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and he enjoyed making doll cradles. Above all he was a loving husband, father, and great grandfather.
Rudy is survived by his children; Peggy (Lyle) Fischer of Georgia, William (Gloria Shields) Salisbury of Marion, and Rev. Bonny (Rev. Brian) Chrans of Harrietta, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Lorraine, son; David Salisbury, granddaughter; Kristin Miller, siblings; Robert Salisbury, Richard Salisbury, Ralph Salisbury, Roy Salisbury, and R. Lee Salisbury, mother and father in-law, in-laws; Roberta Lowery, Delbert Wonsey, Orba Wonsey, Mary Bates, Virgiline Davis, Eunice Bowers, Willis Lindy Wonsey, Betty Robinson, and Ernie Wonsey.
