I am Sarah Moerdyk's sister-in-law from Louisville. I remember visiting Grandma DeYoung's farm years ago and her giving my family a tour. Being from Chicago, I had never been to a farm so it was quite exciting and memorable! I remember her rows and rows of everything imaginable canned in her basement. Also that she had a 'She-Shed' long before they were popular! :) Above all I remember her as loving and warm and could tell how much she loved and was loved by her family and I've heard many stories about her throughout the years. Hugs to you all!

We are so sorry to hear of Josephine's passing. We had many wonderful conversations and visits with her over the years. My Dad (her cousin Mynard Hamming) thought the world of her and all she accomplished for her family, and loved to tell stories about her. Our prayers to all of you in your loss.
