Sue Carol Roby age 72, of Cadillac, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Samaritas in Cadillac. She was born on July 29, 1946 in Rosewood, Ohio. She married Larry Eugene Roby on September 5, 1965 in West Liberty, Ohio. She had worked in the Extrusion Department at Michigan Rubber for over 13 years, had worked at the Fireside Inn in McBain and at Second Chance in Cadillac. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, word search puzzles, going for rides, playing cards, especially Yahtzee.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Eugene Roby of Cadillac, and her children, Sherry Roby of Cadillac, Dan (Lisa) Roby of Cadillac, AmMith-Kelsea (Doug) Richard of Remus, Arden Halpin of Cadillac, and Jeff (Lynda) Roby of Falmouth. Her surviving grandchildren are, Shaun Picardat, Ryan Billett, Amanda Hunt, Adam Roby, Tyler Roby, Mia Roby, Aaron Richard, Eric Richard, Evelyn Halpin, Myron Halpin, Jake Roby, Jennifer Robart, and Andrew Roby and seven great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are, Marvin Halterman of Louisville, Tn., Phyllis Hehr of New Bremen , Ohio, Kay (Bob) Zimpher of Spencerville, Ohio, Charles (Joan) Halterman of West Liberty, Ohio, Dick (Linda) Halterman of Bellfontaine, Ohio, and Rick (Brenda) Halterman of DeGraff , Ohio. Also, surviving is her father in law, Paul Roby of McBain, and in-laws, Ron (Connie) Roby of Quincy, Ohio and Roger (Deb) Roby of McBain. She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Amber and Ashley Roby, Brandi Hunt, and Avery Scott Roby, siblings, Rose Cromes, Shirley Noel and Ron Halterman, mother in-law, Evelyn Roby, and a niece, Kris Shelby.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the Living Light Church, Lake City, with Rev. Walter Ross officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will take place in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Memorial may be to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements were made by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain.
