Marion Louise Kenyon

Marion Louise Kenyon age 80, life long resident of the Lake City and Merritt area, passed away in Haring Township in Wexford County. She was born on August 18, 1938 in Reeder Township, Missaukee County to Arthur and Vera (Hamilton) Rinckey. She married Forest William Kenyon on March 5, 1957 in Lake City and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2017. Marion graduated from the Merritt High School and had worked with the mentally challenged at CORE in Roscommon. She was active in the Missaukee Democratic Party and had been a writer for the Missaukee Waterfront. She enjoyed hunting, sewing, making jewelry and rodeos. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Vera (Brian) Craig of McAlister, Oklahoma, Lonnie (Joyce) Kenyon of Merritt, Larry (Pat) Kenyon of Lake City and Faron Kenyon also of Lake City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Kenyon Weinel. Marion has nine grandchildren, Jason Kenyon, Cole Craig, Luke William Kenyon, Levi Rane Kenyon, Randy Kenyon, Teia Kenyon, Travis Kenyon, Janell Barnes, and Tiffany Kenyon and there are also 10 great grandchildren surviving, Lacey, Brandon, Wyatt, Thatcher, Bella, Kayden, Ashtyn, Devin, Isla, and Roman. Many other relatives are also surviving.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Kenyon and siblings, Carl ( Alice) Rinckey, Donald (Chris) Rinckey, Doris (Don) Bradley, and Mildred (Clarence) Hall.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain with Rev. Jim Keeley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service on Thursday. Burial will take place in the Star City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to help cover funeral expenses.
