Bertha Lempi, Eugenia, Rosted completed her earthly journey on November 20,2018,at Samaritas Living of Cadillac. She was 102.Born November 7,1916 in Cadillac Michigan to Finnish immigrants John Ramo and Lempi (Pulkkinen)Williams, she was a woman of great faith and a lifelong Lutheran. She attended Cadillac schools graduating in 1934.On May 17,1936 she married Frank Rosted at St.John's Lutheran church, Lake City. He was also the child of Finnish immigrants. While farming near Lake City and attending St.John's Church she taught Sunday school,sang in the choir and served as assistant organist. In 1951 Frank got a job working for Michigan Bell Telephone company and they moved to Cadillac. Bertha worked at various jobs in Cadillac including Proof reader at Cadillac Evening News and Kysor Industrial as a billing clerk, until her retirement. She is survived by a daughter Sandra Hooker of Lake City, and three grandsons, Brad Rosted of Kansas City Missouri, Randy (BillieJo)Rosted of Fife Lake,Wade (Nicci)Rosted of Caledonia Michigan and their Mother Kathy Rosted of Manton Michigan.Also many great and great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her husband Frank sons Bernie(in infancy)Toivo in 1988 ,son in law Jim Hooker,Sisters Elsie Crawford and Mayme Guthrie, brothers, John, Wells, Otto, Rudolph, and Arthur Williams. In a. Accordance with Bertha's wishes cremation has taken place and a private grave side service will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
